    After the ball is over . . .

    We had a great time at the reunion in Pella. The weather cooperated and about 85 family members made an appearance at some time during the weekend. I thank all of you for corresponding and/or attending the reunion this year and I hope that you will stay in touch and continue to send updates on your own little part of the family and we'll continue to sporadically share those.

    Muriel Kooi of Pella was our guest speaker at the banquet on Saturday evening. Muriel's impersonation of Mareah Scholte was interesting and fun. Your generosity allowed us to present $100 to the Pella Historical Society to be used in their ongoing preservation and research of our Dutch and Iowa heritage.
